LABOR DAY: Clouds increase, tracking a few afternoon storms; more heat


We are still monitoring a broad area of circulation across the western Gulf of Mexico. This surge of moisture will increase our humidity, adding to uncomfortable conditions at times. This surface high pressure will continue to heat us up each afternoon, with higher heat index values lifting near the century mark. Rain chance start going up tomorrow


The forecast for the high school football games tonight, albeit a little warm, but not as warm as last week. Temperatures at kickoff will be close to 90° with temperatures falling off into the low to mid 80s by the end of the game. Tomorrow's college games will have a chance of rain or storms all across the southeast including Arkansas v. Auburn, Clemson v. Georgia, and Alabama v. West Virginia at the Georgia Dome.
