From California to Carolina, Susan-Elizabeth's journalism career has taken her coast to coast. She loves to learn about new people and new places and can't wait to see what stories the Valley has to offer.
Susan-Elizabeth graduated from the University of Georgia's Grady School of Journalism, majoring in Broadcast News alongside former classmate and WRBL Sports Anchor Bruce Frazier. While in Athens, she worked as a reporter/anchor/producer for CNN affiliate Newsource 15. She also spent a semester working for KRON-TV, a local news station in San Francisco.
After college, Susan-Elizabeth was selected for Teach for America Corps. As a corps member, she taught first grade in inner-city schools in Houston and Phoenix.
After her time in Arizona, she joined the news team at WIS-TV, the NBC affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina. There, she worked as a point person for breaking news on the assignment desk. Some of her most memorable times include the hurricane season of 2004 and a deadly train wreck and chlorine spill in Graniteville, SC. While working on the assignment desk, Susan-Elizabeth was awarded the Associated Press' Mark Twain Award for news gathering.
Originally from Tyrone, Georgia, Susan-Elizabeth loves to cook, travel, and run. She can't wait to hit the streets here in Columbus.
