Tammy Terry - Anchor

Tammy Terry anchors News 3 this Morning and News 3 at Noon. Tammy is a native of Prattville, Alabama. She graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Political Science and Communications. Prior to joining the News 3 team in 2005, she worked for three years in Greenville, Mississippi as an anchor and bureau chief for WABG. During that time, Tammy received a first place award for investigative reporting from the Associated Press and Mississippi Association of Broadcasters. Tammy also received a national award for a series of health reports focused on diabetes in the Mississippi Delta region. Tammy started her broadcasting career at a FamilyNet affiliate in Vidalia, Georgia as the Evening Anchor. Her favorite aspect of the job is developing relationships within the community and bringing the best in local news to viewers! Tammy has been recognized on local, state, and national levels for her community service. In her spare time, Tammy enjoys making a difference in children's lives through mentoring and public speaking. Although she's anchored weekend, morning, and evening newscasts, Tammy enjoys the early start, helping you get prepared for your day! When not on the go, Tammy loves to spend time with her husband, Michael, and their two dogs and three cats!
