The Sex Crimes unit of the Columbus Police Department is investigating a sexual assault and kidnapping case involving an 11 year old girl.News 3 On Your Side

Stumble It!They say a man broke into a south Columbus home earlier this week and awoke an 11 year old girl as she slept. He then carried the girl to a nearby abandoned home.
Columbus police say there is evidence of sexual trauma to her body. After the girl was attacked, police say the attacker left the scene and the girl returned home to her parents.
Columbus Police say they do not know if the girl knew her attacker.
