Columbus Police confirm Charles Johnston is out of the hospital abnd in police custody. Chief Ricky BOren of Columbus POlice confirms Johnston was treated and released Friday afternoon from the Medical Center.

Boren says Johnston was shot in the shoulder by an officer after going on a shooting spree at Doctors Hospital. Police say Johnston was targeting a nurse who cared for his dying mother four years ago. Police say he also shot a man in the parking lot and an administrative assistant.

Johnston was taken to the Columbus Police Department, after questioning he will be turned over to the Muscogee County Jail.
