At issue is whether the Cobb County commission singles out Christians as the only ones to pray before their meetings.

This case in Cobb County, which is north of Atlanta is being reviewed after a group of Cobb County residents filed a suit in 2005 claiming that a majority of the prayers at the commission meetings involved Christianity and no other religion.

Columbus' City Attorney says "we'll see what the 11th circuit court of appeals says and we'll take our guidance from them but it's my hope that they'll allow the practice to continue with a diverse group used by the mayor."

The court of appeals is reviewing this case and are expected to rule in this case in the coming months.
