Okay - by now, you've likely heard about “Going Green” with your grocery bags, and with organic foods. News 3 On Your Side
But we found some local women going green in a way you may not have heard and they're having a party to do it.
It’s group of women, sitting around in an Uptown Columbus Home, sipping martinis and chatting.
And even though they're in the kitchen - and using olive oil and vinegar - this isn't about cooking - or selling things...
It’s an “anti tupperware party,” says Caryl Lloyd who is hosting a cleaning party - using all natural products.
Says attendee Alice Pate, “I think it's a great chance to green up the United States, green up our cleaning, and actually use products that are safe for us.”
The ladies are using things like baking soda and borax - to make their own household cleaners.
There's another advantage according to the ladies to making things like homemade detergent - its cheaper.
Says Caryl Lloyd, “The good thing about this is you know there's no toxin's in it, it's all natural. It's salt, it's vinegar, oil, end of story.”
Oh - and if you ask these ladies - it sure beats a tupperware party.
