There is some new information tonight regarding a car accident last September that killed an 18-year-old from Phenix City. 83-year-old Walter Gunn has
been indicted by the Russell County Grand Jury for manslaughter and assault. Gunn allegedly killed 18-year-old Taylor Zito after hitting him in a head-on crash
on the highway 80 on-ramp. Authorities tell news Three Gunn was intoxicated. Roy Zito, the victims father says his family wants justice. “But I want him to see some of the life that he took away. And I want him to pay for his crime whatever that is” Zito said. His son Taylor Zito was driving down a ramp off Summerville road onto highway eighty. As he was merging, authorities say a car driven by Gunn crossed the median and killed Zito. At the time of the crash Taylor’s girlfriend was also In the car. She was injured, But survived the accident. Taylor Zito graduated from Smiths station high school Last year.
