Phenix City Mayor Jeff Hardin's office tells News 3 that many voters have called, confused about when the polls are open today. We're on your side with the correct polling hours. Russell County polls are open today from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. EST. That is the same time as other Alabama polls, just given in the Eastern time zone. Alabama polls are open 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. CST.
