Stumble It!News 3 has the story of a 2nd grade teacher who got top honors today.
She may sound like one of the students - but Laura Sheffield is in charge in her second grade class room.
It took Ms. Sheffield several career changes, but three years into teaching, she says this is the right fit it's a job that keeps her on her toes.
“I think the best thing is when you planned a lesson, tried really hard and you see a light bulb come on and they realize they can get it –understand,” Laura Sheffield said.
This is the most rewarding job Sheffield says she can imagine.
And as she imagines up a year full of new lessons this year-she say there's one that trumps all the rest...
“If you're willing to work hard, keep going try your best --you will succeed,” she said.
