Sheriff Investigators Bust Another Meth Lab In Russell County

Investigators with the Russell County Sheriff's office took down another meth lab and arrest a Russell county man. It happened this morning on
Plantation Road off county road 39 in the Fort Mitchell area. That’s near highway 165 in Russell county. Acting on a tip Russell County deputies
and undercover officers went to the Fort Mitchell home and found three people cooking meth. Investigators arrested 25 year old Clint Smith who
lives at the residence. News Three was the only crew on the scene shortly after the suspect was taken into custody. Authorities confiscated meth
components and ingredients used to cook it. They also collected some finished product. Several rifles were also seized along with a high powered
cross bow. Heath Taylor from the Sheriff’s Office says they will continue to go after drug dealers and labs to keep the community safe. “we're going to be a vigilant and try to bust as many as possible and make as many arrests as we can. We don't have the man power as other agencies, but we're
going to do everything in our power to take down as many meth labs as possible”. A hazmat team from Montgomery Alabama came to remove the meth
from the property. Taylor says investigators are still looking for two others in connection with the meth bust.
