Imagine your electric bill going from $46.69 to $416.38 in a month. It happened to one Georgia Power customer. she shared her bill with us. According to her bill, she went from using 411 kilowatts to 3, 241 kilowatts. Her cost of electricity per day grew from $1.61 to $14.43.

A Georgia Power spokesperson says it's summer and that customers should expect an increase during the summer months and early fall, the peak times for electricity.
