Time is running out to cast your vote to help a local hospital in need get a new MRI machine.

Sumter Regional Hospital was nearly destroyed by the March 1, 2007 tornadoes. No workers or patients were hurt; but the hospital is tearing down the old structure and rebuilding.

Coincidentally, they are also competing for a free MRI machine. It’s an online contest sponsored by Siemens. The facility with the most online votes wins, and Monday is the last day to vote.

If you would like to help, the mayor of Americus has declared tomorrow "Vote for SRH Day." You can do so by going to the Siemens contest website. Choose Sumter Regional Hospital from the drop-down menu, watch the video, and click vote. You will be prompted to enter a security code to make your vote count.
