MEGA Brands is recalling about 2.4 million toys. The called announced today covers Magnaman action figures and Magtastik and Magnetix Jr. pre-school toys.
Magnets in the toys can detach. If more than one magnet is swallowed, the magnets can attract each other and cause intestinal perforations or blockages, which can be fatal. MEGA Brands and the Consumer Product Safety Commission have received 44 reports of magnets becoming loose from the toys.
