Tammy Patterson says it is hard to believe that a tree fell through her roof.
"We heard a loud noise go "boom!" I thought it was a bomb or the grill slammed against the house but it was the tree."

She and her husband were asleep, when the storm woke them up and the top of the tree crashed right through the house.

Her husband Toni says he jumped up when he heard it and knew it was the tree beside their house.
He says it gets windy where they live so he decided to get rid of all the pine tree's in his yard, ironically it was not the pine trees that damaged their house.

The tree that damaged the Patterson's home was there before they moved in. Toni says although the tree was close to the house he didn't think it would fall.

"I always looked at it when I cut my grass, I always looked at it like it's gonna be alright."

But it did fall, right into one of their bedrooms. Her sister-in-law was asleep in that room, but luckily was not hurt.

The Pattersons say many of their things are destroyed. But they are thankful that everyone is safe.
