Twenty One Muscogee County Schools Fail AYP Tests

COLUMBUS, GA-- The results are out and 21 Muscogee County Schools failed to meet federal No Child Left Behind criteria.

The results show a drop in math scores from previous years. The test is called the Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) report, and it measures year to year student achievement on statewide assessments.

38 percent of Muscogee County schools didn't pass this year. Overall in Georgia, 31 percent of the schools failed to meet their requirements.
