COLUMBUS, GA--There was a farewell celebration Thursday evening in South Columbus.News 3 On Your Side

Stumble It!The United Services Organization, better known as USO held a goodbye party for 150 members of the 988th Military Police Company.
The company is set to deploy for 12 months. They will leave sometime next week.
The USO provided, food, fun and some games for soldiers and their families to enjoy.
This is the first deployment from Fort Benning since President Bush shortened tours of duty to 12 months.
