Voter Turnout in Columbus

The election polls opened in Columbus at 7 this morning and just closed at 7 pm.
Election workers at the Columbus Public Library on Macon Road say that polling place has been steady all day long; they did not have dull moment.
Two voting precincts were voting at the library and the voters were getting out there to let their votes count.
The morning rush is always big for voter turnout but so is the evening.
The time between 5 and 7 is really busy because voters are getting off of work and heading to the polls.
The Executive Director of Elections and Registration, Nancy Boren, predicts that 25% of the voters will turnout for this year’s election.
The voters at the library say it’s all about having their votes count.
Eddie Crowell came to the library to vote today, he says he’s excited to see new candidates on the ballot this year.
"Well I think this is a very important election,” says Crowell.
He says there are a lot of things that occurred in the Bush administration that he does not agree with, “I think it's time to do something about that,” says Crowell.
The polls are closed in Georgia.
Now it’s a waiting game to see who wins the state for both parties.
