Students at Spencer High School in Columbus got out of school early today.

Workers replacing pipes at the school hit the main water pipe.

So, they needed to turn off the water at the school.

School administrators let students out early.

They say the problem will be fixed soon and it didn’t cause any damage.

“We were able to, however, feed all students, no one was hungry, everything went well but when things like that happen we have to release our kids,” says Miranda Banks, the assistant principal at Spencer High School.

The automated Connect-ED program notified parents of the early dismissal.

School is expected back in session on Monday.
