Soldiers who have returned home got a special welcome from their kids Thursday morning.
Students at McBride Elementary on Fort Benning held a welcome back celebration for the parents who got back from war.
Students sang songs, read poems and created a video telling their parents what they did while they were away.
The students wanted to let their parents know they missed them and are glad they're back.
“This is more emotional, you get to see the children and how much they work with us it is really awesome,” says parent, SSG Damon Duvall.
About 15 percent of the parents at McBride Elementary are deployed.
