The senior from Macon had an average of 45.5 yards a punt this season. He won the award over finalists Kevin Huber from Cincinnati and Toledo's Brett Kern.
Brooks is a two-time first team All-ACC selection with the highest career punting average in the history of the ACC. He transferred to Tech in 2005 after two seasons at Georgia Military College.
The award is named for Ray Guy of Thomson, Ga., a 2004 College Football Hall of Fame inductee who played for the Oakland Raiders from 1973 to 1986.
Last year, Brooks was runner-up to Baylor's Daniel Sepulveda for the Ray Guy Award.
