Columbus State continued its recent offensive explosion on Wednesday, this time against Peach Belt Conference foe Georgia Southwestern, winning by a whopping 12-0 margin. The 12 goals is a new school single-game mark, breaking the record of nine set in 2005 against Thomas University. CSU has now scored 26 goals in its last three games.

Cortney Norris got the scoring started just over three minutes into play as she took a redirect from Jill Walthall and punched it in for a 1-0 lead. Walthall then got in on the action just three minutes later as she took a Hannah Ospina pass and scored for a 2-0 lead. Stephanie Parrish then sent the Lady Cougars into the half with her first career hat trick, scoring in the 30th, 38th, and 43rd minutes to make it 5-0.

CSU got second-half goals from Gina Goforth, Kellie Myles, Kassy Boivin, Hannah Ospina, Jessica Woodson, and a pair of scores from KC MacEachern to finish out the record-setting win. For the game, CSU out- shot GSW 42-2 and held a 13-0 advantage in corner kicks. The shutout is the fourth straight for CSU (13-3-1) and 10th of the season.

Individually, Woodson had four assists in the game to go with her goal, while Hannah Ospina had a pair of assists. The hat trick by Parrish gave her the team lead in goals with 10 on the season.

CSU clinched a share of the PBC championship for the third straight year with the win and will try for its second-straight out-right title on Saturday at GC & SU. Kickoff is set for 7 PM in Milledgeville.
