ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Georgia is entering its first day of two-a-day practices with a little extra rest. The Associated Press
After five days of practicing once per day, Georgia will practice twice on Saturday, including its first session in full pads.
To mark the eve of the first two-a-day drills, coach Mark Richt eliminated some of the normal conditioning drills at the end of Friday's practice. Players applauded the move.
"The good news is nobody got hurt today so you don't have to ask me anything about that," Richt said.
Richt said sophomore tailback Knowshon Moreno wore a green practice jersey, worn by players who are held out of contact, to protect a "nagging" shoulder injury.
Richt said Moreno "will be fine."
