Athens --- Weather interrupted and then forced the No. 23 ranked Georgia Bulldogs (1-1) to trim approximately 20 minutes off their practice schedule on Tuesday afternoon. All told, the Bulldogs worked out in full pads for just over two hours in preparation for this Saturday's date with Western Carolina (0-2) at Sanford Stadium.University of Georgia Sports Press Release

Stumble It!Thunder and lightning chased the team to the locker room about an hour into the workout. The Dogs returned just over 30 minutes later but shortened the original practice plan. The rest of the session featured intermittent precipitation ranging from drizzle to a steady rainfall.
"Unfortunately, we had to come inside for a while," head coach Mark Richt said. "We were able to get back out there pretty quickly, which was good. We did cut about 20 minutes, but we got the important things in."
Earlier on Tuesday Richt stressed the importance of getting back on the right track during his weekly press conference.
"We have to get back to work this week," Richt said. "I think that is the best medicine after a loss. We have known it for a long time but it becomes real after you lose that football is not quite as much fun when you lose as when you win. Our coaches are doing a good job of getting players back and ready. I'm glad we have a game this week and not an open date. That would be awful. After a loss you sometimes wish you played baseball or basketball so you could get that taste out of your mouth quicker without having to wait a week."
Georgia will take on Western Carolina on Saturday at Sanford Stadium.
Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m., and the game will be available as a pay-per-view broadcast by Comcast Sports Southeast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS). Viewers may order the game through their local, participating cable provider for $29.99. The game will be made available to cable providers throughout the state. Matt Stewart will handle the play-by play duties, while former Georgia quarterback Buck Belue will provide the analysis.
All Georgia games are broadcast live on the Bulldog Radio Network on AM 750 WSB in Atlanta and on both 106.1 FM and 960 The Ref in Athens. The radio audio also can be heard worldwide on both georgiadogs.com, the official website of UGA Athletics, and on XM Satellite Radio.
