Stumble It!Trying to overcome an elbow injury, Glavine gave up seven runs, seven hits and four walks in an 11-7 loss to the Chicago Cubs on Thursday night. The 42-year-old, who has a torn flexor tendon in his left elbow, has been hoping to avoid surgery. He experienced more discomfort on the mound.
"It just was a little sore," Braves manager Bobby Cox said Friday.
Atlanta purchased the contract of right-hander Matt DeSalvo from Triple-A Richmond.
