BOSTON (AP) - Paul Pierce scored 22 points and the Boston Celtics grabbed a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals by clobbering the visiting Atlanta Hawks 110-85.

Boston's "Big Three" each had a big game after the Celtics blew a 10-point fourth-quarter lead in a Game-4 loss to the Hawks. Kevin Garnett dropped in 20 points and Ray Allen added 19 while helping the Celts shoot 54 percent.

The Hawks went on an 11-oh run to pull within 60-54 in the third quarter. But Allen drained three 3-pointers in the middle of the period to help Boston carry a 17-point lead into the fourth quarter.

Sam Cassell scored nine of his 13 points in the second quarter. Cassell helped Boston's bench outscore the Hawks' reserves 35-14.

Joe Johnson scored 21 points after pouring in 35 in the Hawks' Game-4 victory. Josh Smith added 18 points for the Hawks, who host Game 6 on Friday.
