GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Running back Jonathan Dwyer of Georgia Tech has been named as the Atlantic Coast Conference rookie of the week.

Clemson quarterack Cullen Harper, a junior from Alpharetta, is the ACC offensive back of the week.

Dwyer rushed nine times for 138 yards and three touchdowns in Tech’s rout of Samford. It is the fifth-best performance by a Georgia Tech freshman.

Harper passed for a Clemson school-record five touchdowns and completed 20-of-26 passes for 270 yards against Louisiana-Monroe.

Dwyer and Harper join four other players honored today by the ACC, including two from North Carolina. Linebacker Durrell Mapp and receiver Brandon Tate earned the league’s weekly awards for defensive backs and specialists.

Others receiving accolades from the conference are tight end Tom Santi of Virginia and linebacker Jolonn Dunbar of Boston College.
