The 7 turnovers were the most for Troy since the Trojans began playing in Division I-A, now the Bowl Subdivision, in 2001. The turnovers included 4 interceptions thrown by Haugabook.
But the Troy defense made up for the sloppy offensive play. The Trojans had 9 sacks and forced 2 fumbles and an interception.
The only score for North Texas came on a 30-yard pass from Giovanni Vizza to Micah Mosley at 2:55 in the third quarter.
