Fort Mountain State Park — Located in Chatsworth/Murray County--Temperatures are definitely autumn-like, so leaf colors are beginning to change more rapidly. Yellows and oranges are more prevalent now. Yellow Poplar and hickories are beginning to change. Fall colors are seen well from the park's horseback trails.

Tallulah Gorge State Park — Located in Tallulah Falls/Border of Rabun/Habersham Conty --At Tallulah Gorge State Park State we are now seeing some early fall colors. Throughout most of the park the Dogwoods, Sourwoods, Tulip Poplars and Sumac trees are turning red and yellow. Even the Maple trees are starting too shows their hints of crimson red. The autumn flowers are beautiful; the asters and golden rods are in full bloom. It is a great time to hike our many trails, enjoying the wonderful smells of fall and the feel of the cool crisp air on your face.

Hard Labor Creek State Park — Located in Rutledge/Morgan County--A little more fall colors are beginning to peak through. Some of the trees and/or plants that are showing some fall colors are Poison Sumac, Sweetgum, Dogwoods, and Poplars, plus there is a slight change of color in the willow oaks. Take a drive out to either one of our group camps and out by the beach to get a good look at the beautiful scenery.
