The National Weather Service in Peachtree City, GA has issued a frost advisory from 2 AM to 9 AM EDT for parts of North Georgia, including Troup and Meriwether Counties in the News 3 viewing area.Information courtesy of the National Weather Service
A cold dome of high pressure will become centered over North Georgia Monday morning resulting in clear skies and calm winds. This will allow temperatures to fall quickly during the evening, with lows getting into the 30s across the advisory area. Frost will be most likely in rural locations and in low lying areas.
A frost advisory means that frost is expected to develop during the growing season. Those with agricultural interests are advised to harvest or protect tender vegetation. Also, potted plants normally left outdoors should be covered or brought inside away from the cold.
