A possible tornado or a severe thunderstorm ripped through downtown Atlanta Friday night. According to Georgia Power, nearly 10,000 residents were left without power.

According to reports from the Associated Press in Atlanta...Windows were smashed throughout the CNN center and at the Georgia Dome.

During the SEC playoff game with Mississippi State leading by 3 against Alabama in overtime the game was stopped. Fans began running towards the exits when insulation from the roof started to fall towards the floor and across the seats where the fans were watching the game.

An hour after the storm passed, the insulation was cleaned up and the game resumed.

There were no reports of any injuries as of Friday night.
