Here is the timeline for today’s severe weather outbreak:

Forecast models show isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and overnight.
The cold front is not expected to move into the area until after sunset. Prior to this...scattered thunderstorms will
develop ahead of the front. Any thunderstorms that develop during the day should remain below severe levels...although pea sized hail is not out of the question as the front moves into the area by this evening. By 3 am Friday morning the severe threat decreases as the storms move into central and eastern Georgia.

***Overnight hours are dangerous because most people will be sleeping. Weather radios are very important during this spring-like severe weather outbreak. The First Alert weather team will be monitoring this storm closely and will inform our viewers if imminent danger is expected in our area.
