A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 1 PM to 8 PM EDT on Monday for much of North and Central Georgia due to low relative humidities. Much of Central Alabama is also under a Fire Weather Watch.National Weather Service Forecast Office, Peachtree City, GA & Birmingham, AL
Dry fuel moisture conidtions will combine with relative humidities of 25 percent of less to create dangerous fire weather conditions Monday afternoon into Monday evening. These conditions are likely to occur again on Tuesday.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occuring or will occur within 24 hours. A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur.
Please refer to local burn permitting authorities on whether you can burn outdoors. If you do burn outside, use extreme caution.
