Is your New Year's Resolution to lose weight, decrease your stress levels, get in better shape, or enjoy life more? In 2008, will you be pushing your limits by pushing your pedals? If so, we invite you to join the first annual Bike Challenge.

In 2008, challenge yourself to a goal of riding 34, 62, or 100 miles in a single bike trip by September 2008. Four events will be held, each one of increasing distance to help you pedal your way to your ultimate goal. Our first event will be the "Crank Your Heart" ride February 9th, held in conjunction with the "Love Your Heart" run through beautiful Chewacla Park. Registration for this ride will be held in conjunction with the run (www.loveyourheartrun.com).
Participation is open to anyone who wants to increase their current mileage or recreation level. We have three goal levels to choose from: beginner, intermediate, and experienced. When you register for the Challenge, you will select your ultimate goal to complete by September 2008. Participants must register for the Bicycle Challenge prior to the February 9th event. Those who accomplish their goal will receive a reward for completion.

As mentioned before, there are a total of 4 events that riders MUST participate in in order to complete the Challenge. Not only must you participate, but with each ride you must increase your mileage. Those rides are:

"Crank Your Heart" - February 9th, 2008
Bike Bash 2008 - April 12th, 2008
Tentative ... June 28th, 2008
Johnny Ray Century - September 27th, 2008
