Devin Robinson is an upcoming 6th grader at Veteran's Memorial Middle School. He was recently recommended by his 5th grade teacher and was accepted to participate as a member of the People to People World Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C., September 15 -21 2008. The objective of the program is to develop leadership skills among America's youth while exploring defining moments in American history. The 7-day experience includes discussing leadership in action at such venues as Capitol Hill, Gettysburg, and Colonial Williamsburg.

People-to-People student leaders are recommended and evaluated before their acceptance. He is the only student representing Columbus. He will be with children from all over the world. We are honored he was been selected. Devin is very active in the Church, sports, and volunteers at Salvation Army so this experience will truly help him to continue to develop his leadership skills. Upon his return, he plans to share his experience with school and civic clubs in our community. Fundraising is in progress to pay the approx $4000 for his flight and tuition. Some local businesses are already on board and if you would like to help donations can be dropped off at any TIC location.
