On March 16, 2018, officers from the Auburn Police Division transported Trimble from the Muscogee County Jail to the Lee County Jail where, in addition to a $51,000 bond is being held for Violation of Probation regarding a previous Felony conviction.

On March 19, 2018, Brooks was transported from the Muscogee County Jail to the Lee County Jail where his bond was set at $51,000.

Further investigation reasserts that Brooks and Trimble met each other, by their own accounts, for conflicting and unlawful reasons resulting in each firing upon the other.
