Authorities investigating murder in Macon County

MACON COUNTY, Ala. - Macon County authorities are investigating a murder.

Investigators say 35-year-old Ennon Hayden Jr. was shot and killed Friday night along County Road 13 inside his family’s home.

Macon County Investigators believe Hayden may have interrupted a burglary in progress at his family’s home.

The family owns and operates Hayden Automotive, a popular mechanic shop and car lot.

Sheriff Andre Brunson says Ennon was a good man, who was a father and valuable member of the community.

Investigators say they are looking for the person or persons responsible as their thoughts go out to the family.

This is the first homicide of the year in Macon County.
