Early morning crash claims life of woman in Tallapoosa County

TALLAPOOSA COUNTY, Ala. - A two car crash claims the life of a Montgomery woman early Monday morning.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the crash happened at 6:47 a.m. on Alabama 49 near mile marker 17 approximately 13 miles south of Dadeville.

ALEA says the woman killed was 36-year-old Kafara Renae Heard.

Heard was not using a seatbelt when her 2003 Nissan Altima collided with a 2007 Pontiac G6. The driver of the Pontiac was 50-year-old Leonard Heard of Camp Hill. He was transported to Baptist Couth Hospital when injuries.

Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
