Woman dies after car overturns outside Phenix City

PHENIX CITY, Ala. – Alabama State Troopers say a woman is dead after her car overturned on U.S. Highway 80 at the 206 mile marker.

Corporal Jess Thornton says troopers responded to the scene of the crash at 9:47 p.m. Tuesday night. He says 30-year-old Victoria Dawn Mcintosh was killed when her 2001 Ford Explorer left the road and overturned.

Thornton says Mcintosh was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown out of the car. He says she was pronounced dead at the scene about four miles east of Phenix City.
