APD arrest man stemming from April burglary on Redwood Court

AUBURN, Ala. - A burglary suspect in Auburn is in jail after police say he burglarized a home back in April.

38-year-old James Romine was arrested on warrants charging him with Burglary 3rd degree, Theft of Property 1st degree, and Resisting Arrest.   

Romine's arrest is the result of a burglary reported on April 26 at a home in the 200 block of Redwood Court. Police say while the residents were away someone entered their home and stole two flat screen televisions, an electronic device, and sunglasses totaling over $3,200.

An unidentified male was captured on video surveillance entering the residence; further investigation determined Romine to be the offender. One of the televisions and the electronic device was recovered by police prior to his arrest. Romine was located at his residence; and taken into custody by officers. He initially resisted arrest resulting in an additional charge of Resisting Arrest.   

Romine was transported to the Lee County Jail where he was being held on an $8,500 bond.
