Arrest made in deadly Melvin Avenue shooting

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Columbus police have made an arrest in a homicide investigation.

43-year-old Yashicer Pritchett was arrested Wednesday, April 11 for the death of Tommy Marshall and will be charged with murder.

As News 3 reported, back on March 23, 2018 around 5 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Melvin Avenue in reference to a welfare check on Tommy Marshall 

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered Marshall was dead from a gunshot.

Pritchett’s court date will be on Friday, April 13 at 9 a.m. in Recorder’s Court.
