GBI and police seek to identify Hogansville bank robber

WRBL Staff - HOGANSVILLE, Ga. – The FBI Atlanta, GBI and Hogansville Police are asking for the public's help in identifying an armed suspect who robbed the Community Bank and Trust in Hogansville on Monday, October 3, 2016.

The suspect, who entered the bank, located at 410 East Main Street, shortly after 4 p.m., was holding a dark-colored, semi-automatic handgun in his right hand. Witnesses said the suspect pointed the gun at bank employees, threatened them, and demanded money. Fearing for their lives, the employees turned over an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was observed prior to the robbery with a second man in a black SUV with chrome-spoked wheel wells. The robber is described as a man, 6'0"-6'1" tall, thin build, 165 - 170 lbs, in his mid to late 40's. He was wearing dark-framed sunglasses, a dark-colored baseball cap, a blue and white-striped polo shirt, blue jeans and sneakers with light colored laces.
