Columbus man under Federal indictment charge

COLUMBUS, Ga. - A Federal grand jury has returned 28 indictments this week.

Among them an identity theft charge against a Columbus man. 

Federal officials say 32-year-old Demetrius Clark, is charged with one count of access device fraud and multiple counts of aggravated identity theft.

If convicted, Clark faces a maximum sentence of 10 years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine or both on the fraud charge.

He could get two years in prison, to be served consecutively, on the identity theft charges.

The case was investigated by the Columbus Police Department and the IRS.
