Mayoral candidate Zeph Baker responds to alleged domestic violence

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Embattled Columbus Mayoral candidate Zeph Baker just wrapped up a news conference where he addressed accusations he says are being made by his opponents.

A campaign representative called to tell us the news conference would reference allegations against Zeph Baker that accuse him of domestic violence.

"For Beth Harris and company, yes we know that you are not alone in your actions. To feel it necessary to exploit the health challenges of my wife, it is pathetic, yet revealing of the darkness that Beth Harris hides. For my opponents to resort to character assassination and a smear tactics campaign. It is despicable," says Zeph Baker.

This, after one of his opponents recently filed a claim with the Muscogee County Elections Board raising the question of whether Mr. Baker even lived in the city of Columbus.

The board sided in favor of Zeph Baker; however, that decision has been appealed to Superior Court.
