Ride of Silence honors victims of bicycle fatalities

Columbus was one of several cities across the country participating in the ride.

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Columbus joined cities across the US and Canada in the eighth annual Ride of Silence earlier this evening.

The silent bike ride honors the lives of those lost to bicycle fatalities. Escorted by Columbus police officers, riders from across the city came out despite the rain and eventual showers to build awareness around the need for bicycle safety.
