Beth Harris announces intent to run for Columbus mayor in 2018

WRBL Staff - COLUMBUS, Ga. -- A former school board member now announces she will be vying to be Columbus' next mayor.

Beth Harris has filed her declaration of intent to run for mayor in the 2018 election.

Harris says some of her top priorities include increasing the number of patrol officers on the streets assuring equal treatment for all city employees and securing and maintaining infrastructure.

Harris is a former teacher, school board member, and city employee.
