CPD urging people to be aware of pornographic material on social media

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Columbus police are alerting people to be aware of a recent pornographic post surfacing on social media sites.

In a release from the Special Victim's Unit, the sexual act occurred in the State of Alabama and the images of this social media post depict a black man and a child in a sexual act.

Police are urging that you do not share this video, do not send it to anyone via social media, instant messages, snapchat, screen shot or otherwise. It is against the law to do so.

In addition to deleting the material, police say you should also contact the social media site.
