Human remains found in Lee County

WRBL Staff - OPELIKA, Ala. - Opelika Police are investigating a scene after a complaint was given after possible human remains where found in a wooded area.

Investigators believe the remains to be of human and they were found Friday evening at the Bennett Mobile Home Park.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office, Opelika Police and the Lee County Coroner's Office are all on the scene.

The remains will be sent off for forensic analysis in Montgomery for further testing.
