Midtown Medical Center hosts second annual "Arrival Day Baby Fair"

COLUMBUS, Ga - Midtown Medical Center held its second annual baby expo Sunday, February 11.

The hospital encouraged expectant mothers to come out and view everything Midtown has to offer, as well as meet with local vendors.

Jessica Roberts, the communication's director for the hospital, says the "Arrival Day Baby Fair" is to help moms-to-be learn about the resources available in the community.

Guests were able to tour the birthing suites and learn about Midtown's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), which Roberts says is the only NICU in the region.

Roberts says the baby expo tries to include vendors that offer services catering to multiple needs a new mom might have.

"We have vendors ranging from birth photographers, to local bakeries, in case you need a smash cake, or something for your baby shower, to local resale clothing shops, to insurance companies. I mean anything you could need if you're an expecting family."

Safe Kids Columbus also offered classes addressing safety concerns with expectant moms.
