Phenix City Armed Robbery suspects arrested after chase and crash

PHENIX CITY, Ala (WRBL) - Phenix City Police say an armed robbery occurred at the Castle Fuel Gas Station located at the intersection of Highway 165 and Highway 431. 

Police say as the suspects were fleeing the scene, a Russell County Deputy who was in the vicinity, saw the offenders running from the store, jumped into a vehicle and took off speeding. 

The Russell County Deputy heard the B.O.L.O was put over the radio for the robbery. 

Police say a short chase took place and ended in a single-vehicle crash. Trystan Greenlee and Tony Prather were arrested and the hang gun which was reported stolen from Clayton County, Georgia. The gun was recovered alongside and an undisclosed amount of money. 

Police say Greenlee is being charged with Robbery 1st and Attempted to Elude. Prather is being charged with Robbery 1st, Certain Person Forbidden to carry a pistol, and Receiving Stolen Property.
